Hemp, an amazing plant that can be used in different ways to help build business and home structures. It is naturally pest, fire and mold resistant while also being carbon neutral.
It’s fibrous stalks when chopped up and mixed with lime and water produce what is known as Hempcrete. Hempcrete is a non-toxic, bio-composite, thermal mass material that can be used in a variety of ways when building such as insulation for walls, roofing, and flooring. It’s also a breathable material which makes it resistant to mold.

It is not recommended to use hempcrete as a concrete substitute for foundations as its low rate of compressive strength is not safe.
Hemp-board which is stronger than oak by 20% is becoming popular. It’s lighter than most ply-woods which means it’s lighter than oak.
